The AA Training Academy addresses our industry's skill shortage by offering MERSETA-Acredited (Accreditation as a service provider was awarded to the AA Training Academy on the 21st June 2006) for the following apprenticeships: Automotive Electrician, Automotive Engine Fitter, Diesel Mechanic and Motor Mechanic. |
Accreditation as a decentralised trade testing centre was awarded to the AA Training Academy on the 9th March 2007, for the trades of Automotive Electrician, Automotive Engine Fitter, Diesel Mechanic and Motor Mechanic Apprentice and Learnership training to employees in the automotive industry.
Though the apprenticeship programme forms the core of our academy, we also offer short courses for artisans who want to keep abreast of new technologies and upskill themselves in specialized auto electrical fields as well as mechanical technology.
The Academy's accreditation as a Decentralised Trade Test Center allows it to offer a total training solution to our clients.
All courses are aligned to the relevant unit standards.
FacilitiesWe currently have two accredited training facilities, which accommodate a maximum of 70 learners at our Johannesburg branch and 20 learners at our Cape Town branch per day across our service offering. |

Apprenticeship Courses
The AA Training Academy offers the following full apprenticeship courses, based on a 4 year programme.
- CBMT Levels 1-4 Automotive Electrician, Automotive Engine Fitter, Diesel Mechanic and Motor Mechanic
Trade Tests
For delegates with a minimum of 4 years experience, the academy offers the following Merseta Accredited trade tests.
- Automotive Electrician
- Automotive Engine Fitter
- Diesel Mechanic
- Motor Mechanic
Short Courses
The AA Training Academy offers various short courses. Please note that we need a minimum of 14 delegates to make the course viable to run.
