Thanks Minister!!
From the 17th February, all new learner licences will be valid for 24 months (as opposed to 18 months previously) – why the change? Well, it seems as if the Gauteng Shared Services Centre in has finally fallen under the scrutiny of the ministry – together with the Cape Town and Durban’s learner / driver test booking system – and found wanting!!
We were delighted to learn that testing centres will also be open over weekends – demand or “operational capacity” permitting.
So then, the backlog of licence bookings should be sorted fairly soon – watch this space…

I got my leaners licence May 2009 and it expires November 2010. WILL IT BE EXTENDED BY ANY CHANCE?
