South African Passports
Though ensuring your passport is in order may seem obvious, please remember to allow enough time for the Department of Home Affairs to issue a new passport should you need one.
Remember to check that your passport is not about to expire or run out of pages. Remember your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your date of return to South Africa and must have at least two blank pages.
It is also a good idea to make copies of your passport and travel documents, including insurance documents, proof of vehicle ownership, airline tickets, driver’s licence, relevant travel visas and any other important documents.
