Furthermore, AA Autobay endeavours to eliminate the risks associated with purchasing a private vehicle by:

  • Appraising all vehicles before they are listed on the AA Autobay website to ensure that only vehicles of the highest quality are advertised.
  • Ensuring that the vehicle is not stolen or previously written off.
  • Offering various services and products such as vehicle finance, insurance, warranties, roadside assistance (AA Fleetcare), service plans and much more.
  • Conducting an AA Multi-Point check on the vehicle to identify any problems or areas needing repair.

When a vehicle is purchased or sold through AA Autobay, a minimum facilitation fee of R 3,500 (plus VAT) will be charged for any vehicle with a purchase price under R 100,000. If the purchase price exceeds R 100,000, then both the buyer and seller will each be required to pay 3.5% of the purchase price (plus VAT) as a facilitation fee. If the buyer or seller is an AA Member, they will receive a 15% discount on the facilitation fee.
