Executive Chairman: Sikkie Kajee
Sikkie Kajee was appointed as the Automobile Association of South Africa’s Executive Chairman on 14 March 2019.
While he consults on corporate governance and provides director training, he also serves on the boards of several organisations, including:
- Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa;
- National Arts Festival;
- Advantage Motor Protector t/as AA Warranties;
- SGB Smit Power Matla (Pty) Ltd (alternate); and
- Dorper Wind Farm (Pty) Ltd (alternate).
And is the Chairman of the Audit Committees of the following organisations:
- The Department of Trade and Industry; and
- The South African Bureau of Standards.
His involvement with the Automobile Association of South Africa as Non-Executive Chairman led to his consequent appointment as Executive Chairman.
Prior to this appointment, Sikkie was involved in the consulting arena with firms like Ernst and Young, Gobodo Incorporated, and until 2012 at KPMG.
Director: Nico Crous
Nico Crous joined the AA as a chartered accountant in 1995, after working for the South African Revenue Services. Initially, his role was to provide financial management support to the commercial business units as assistant general manager. When the finance divisions were merged in 1997, Nico assumed the role of AA Management Accountant.
In 2001 he became Divisional Manager: Finance and in 2004 was promoted to his current role as a Director.
