The East Rand Comes Out Tops at National Awards Ceremony

The top achievers in the motor repair industry gathered at the Palazzo hotel at Monte Casino to celebrate the annual AA Quality Assured Awards last night.

The AAQA auditors inspect and monitor all their members’ businesses throughout the year before awarding the top achievers in the industry. The standards to be certified by the AAQA are very high and should the businesses exceed these standards they are awarded for their efforts.

The members are graded on their qualifications, facilities and customer service. Customers have the opportunity to rate the service of the motor repair centres through the AA website which also plays a huge part in the grading. How the members handle their customer’s complaints is watched very closely by the AAQA as this is a large part of the great customer service that the AA is known for.

The categories for the AAQA are the top general repairer which was won by Steve’s Auto Clinic in Boksburg, the specialist award which was won by Greyling Motors in Gezina, the most improved panelbeater which was awarded to BB Auto Body Rebuilds in Bela-Bela, the most improved general repairer which was won by Rustenburg Auto Electrical, the most improved specialist which was won by Gearbox Clinic in Boksburg and taking the autobody repairer and national award for 2011 was Alberante ARC in Alberton.

“We have been a member of the AAQA for over seventeen years now and we are very proud to have won the National winner award as this proves our quality of service and customer relations in the motor repair industry.” Says Yvonne van Schalkwyk at Alberante ARC

The AAQA programme was established in 1993 after regular contact with AA members indicated that poor workmanship and service with regard to motor vehicle repairs was a major source of customer dissatisfaction. The AA received a multitude of requests from motorists to recommend high quality businesses and hence the AAQA awards recognise those businesses who meet their consumer’s needs.

“We like to assure our consumers that they have the benefit of dealing with reputable and respected businesses in their area. AA Quality Assured businesses adhere to the strict standards set by the AA which help us ensure consumers always get the best,” says Derek Hall Jones, Technical and Emergency Road Services Division Manager for the AA.
