The fuel price trend over the past 2 weeks is predicting a further increase in the price of petrol (up by around 20 cents) and about 6 cents up for diesel.
Current international prices are the highest since beginning of December with very little prospect of falling due to the Syrian and Iranian political situations together with a freezing Northern Hemisphere. In South Africa, the only real buffer we have is the strongish Rand. If the Dollar/Rand exchange rate heads back over R8/$ the potential increases could be doubled.
