Your day of culture starts with a journey to the Lesedi Cultural Village, set amid rocky hills and bushveld, offering visitors a chance to encounter people of Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Ndebele and Basotho origin. You’ll meet real people (not actors in fancy dress), enter their homes and listen to stories about their individual cultures and rituals of daily life. Browse in the Ndebele village and African craft market, where murals decorate the walls and courtyard. Enjoy a multi-visual theatre presentation on the history and origin or our peoples. You are then immersed into the world of the Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho and Pedi culture as your expert guide takes you on a tour of the 4 homesteads. Following a cultural dancing display, it’s time for a pan-African feast, featuring a host of dishes from North, East and Southern Africa. After lunch, we travel to the Hartbeespoort area, to the Safari Lion Park where you enjoy a 1.5 hour mini safari in search of lion, wild dog, leopard and cheetah, as well as a variety of herbivores such as giraffe, sable, zebra, impala and more. We then return to Johannesburg to arrive in the late afternoon at the hotel.
