Wear reflective clothing or reflective sashes
Stay on the pavement where possible
Walk facing oncoming traffic

Keep the motorcycle’s headlight on
Stay out of the blind spots of other road users
Leave enough room to manoeuvre – don’t tailgate or move between cars
At all times be courteous, careful and aware

Cyclists

Wear reflective items or clothing
Ride in a straight line and don’t swerve from side to side
Use hand signals to indicate if you are turning
Watch out for pedestrians
Obey the rules of the road at all times

Motorists

Be aware of your surroundings and avoid distractions
Keep to the speed limit and adhere to the rules of the road
Don’t drive when you’re tired or under the influence of alcohol
Check your blind spots regularly and signal your intention to turn or change lanes
Always be on the lookout for pedestrians, cyclists and animals
